بهدف لمثله.. الدحيل ينجو من فخ الشحانية

بصعوبة بالغة وفي الوقت القاتل من زمن اللقاء خطف الدحيل هدف التعادل أمام الشحانية ليخرج الفريقان بالتعادل الإيجابي بهدف لمثله. في المباراة التي جمعتهما مساء امس على استاد جاسم بن حمد، ضمن ختام منافسات الجولة الرابعة من دوري نجوم بنك الدوحة للموسم الرياضي 2026-2027، في مواجهة اتسمت بالندية والتكافؤ حتى دقائقها الأخيرة. وكاد الشحانية أن يحقق الفوز خاصة وان الكل استعد للاحتفال بالانتصار ولكن في الوقت القاتل نجح الدحيل وبصعوبة بالغة في خطف نقطة ثمينة وينجو من الخسارة. وبدأ الفريقان المباراة بحذر نسبي، قبل أن تتبادل المحاولات الهجومية مع مرور الوقت، وسط تنظيم جيد من الخطوط الدفاعية، حيث سعى كل فريق إلى فرض أسلوبه والوصول إلى مرمى المنافس. وعلى الرغم من بعض الفرص المتاحة من الجانبين، فإن اللمسة الأخيرة غابت، لينتهي الشوط الأول بالتعادل السلبي دون أهداف.
وفي الشوط الثاني، ارتفع إيقاع المباراة، ونجح الشحانية في ترجمة أفضليته إلى هدف التقدم في الدقيقة 62 عن طريق جواد سني، الذي استغل الفرصة ووضع فريقه في المقدمة، ليجد الدحيل نفسه مطالبًا بتعديل النتيجة والعودة إلى أجواء اللقاء.

وبينما كانت المباراة تتجه نحو فوز الشحانية، تمكن الدحيل من خطف التعادل في الدقيقة السادسة من الوقت المحتسب بدلًا من الضائع، بعدما سجل بوباكاري سوماري هدفًا قاتلًا أعاد فريقه إلى المباراة، لتنتهي المواجهة بالتعادل الإيجابي بهدف لكل فريق. وبهذه النتيجة، رفع الدحيل رصيده إلى ست نقاط، فيما وصل رصيد الشحانية إلى أربع نقاط، بعد مرور أربع جولات من المسابقة.

المعز علي:لم نستغل الفرص بالشكل الصحيح

أكد المعز علي، لاعب الدحيل، أن التعادل أمام الشحانية أفضل من الخسارة، مشيرًا إلى أن الوقت لا يزال مبكرًا للحكم على المنافسة في الدوري. وقال المعز علي: «كنا نرغب بالتأكيد في تحقيق الفوز، ولكن التعادل أفضل من الخسارة، والقادم أفضل بإذن الله. حاولنا وصنعنا العديد من الفرص، لكن لم نوفق في استغلالها بالشكل المطلوب». وأضاف: «نشكر جمهورنا على حضورهم ودعمهم لنا، ونعدهم بأننا سنعمل على تغيير الصورة في المباريات القادمة، وبإذن الله نكون عند حسن ظنهم».



ديالو الأفضل

حصل ديالو، لاعب الشحانية، على جائزة أفضل لاعب في مباراة فريقه أمام الدحيل، والتي انتهت بالتعادل بهدف لكل فريق، ليخطف الأضواء أمام فريقه السابق. وقدم ديالو مستوى مميزًا خلال اللقاء، وأسهم في خروج الشحانية بنتيجة إيجابية أمام الدحيل، ليُتوج بجائزة رجل المباراة في مواجهة حملت طابعًا خاصًا بالنسبة له في ظل مواجهته لفريقه السابق.

Secretary-General of the Qatar Olympic Committee, HE Jassem bin Rashid Al Buainain, who is also the deputy chairman of the organizing committee for the tournament, spoke during a women's basketball forum in Berlin on building a legacy for the next generation.

He said hosting the tournament was an opportunity not only to stage a major international event but also to expand participation in basketball and encourage more young people to take up the sport.

Al Buainain said Qatar's focus was on using its infrastructure, expertise and innovation to create a sustainable legacy for basketball in Qatar and the wider region.

The session also examined ways to increase the participation of women and girls in sport and the role of major events in supporting the long-term development of women's basketball.

The Women in Basketball Forum, organized by FIBA in Berlin, brought together sports, media and business leaders to discuss the future of the women's game, including investment, media, fan engagement and commercial innovation.

Doha, Qatar: The organising committee of the School Olympic Programme announced the completion of all arrangements for the launch of the twentieth edition of the season (2026-2027), which will be held at the Aspire Academy Dome in October.

The organisation of this new edition comes as a continuation of the programme’s mission to support school sports, discover sporting talents, and promote student participation in various games.

During a press conference, the committee addressed the key features of the new version of the programme, which included the sports included in the competitions and the targeted age groups, in addition to the programme’s goals and development plans during the new season, which enhances its role as one of the leading national initiatives in the field of school sports.

President of the Qatar School Sports Association (QSSA), and Chairman of the Organising Committee of the School Olympic Programme (SOP), Sheikh Khalifa bin Khalid Al-Thani affirmed that the programme is one of the most important projects supporting school sports in the State of Qatar, and that the Organising Committee has been implementing it in cooperation and coordination with the Ministry of Education and Higher Education (MoEHE) and the Qatar Olympic Committee since the academic year (2007-2008).

He welcomed the launch of the 20th edition of the School Olympic Programme, which represents an important historical milestone that reflects the sustainability of the project and its continued success.

He said that in this exceptional edition, QSSA looks forward to record participation that surpasses the previous edition, which witnessed the participation of more than 27,000 male and female students in 36 different sports. This great momentum comes with the strategic partnership with sports federations, schools and Aspire Academy, contributing to achieving our ultimate goal, which is to prepare a promising sporting generation that supports the future of Qatari sports.

Sheikh Khalifa bin Khalid Al-Thani added that this new edition will not be just traditional sports competitions, but will add new and qualitative achievements to the record of school sports in Qatar, and will open wider horizons for our sons and daughters, the students, to participate effectively, discover their talents, and reach the platforms of sports and educational excellence.

Mexico City: Mexico ignited their World Cup party with a dominant 2-0 victory over nine-man South Africa on Thursday as the biggest ever edition of the global footballing showpiece kicked off at the iconic Estadio Azteca.

Julian Quinones scored the opening goal of the tournament and veteran striker Raul Jimenez added a second as the co-hosts' bid for qualification from Group A got off to smooth start.

South Africa meanwhile never looked like spoiling the opening day fiesta, and finished with only nine men after Sphephelo Sithole and Themba Zwane were sent off.

The Mexican-colored red, green and white smoke from pre-game fireworks had barely dissipated before Quinones fired the hosts into the lead on nine minutes, drilling a low shot through the legs of South Africa’s goalkeeper and captain Ronwen Williams.

A deafening roar cascaded down from the stands of the Azteca, the footballing cathedral that became the only stadium to host games at three different World Cups.

South Africa coach Hugo Broos had warned his players to be ready for the intimidating atmosphere created by a capacity 80,824 crowd at the imposing concrete arena.

But South Africa’s players looked to have a bad case of stage fright as Mexico's fans greeted each completed pass with a raucous chorus of "Ole!" in the opening minutes.

Sithole seemed particularly affected, being caught in possession trying to play out of the back for Quinones' opening goal.

Sithole's miserable afternoon ended with a 49th minute dismissal after bundling over Mexico’s Brian Gutierrez when clean through on goal.

Mexico rammed home their advantage in the 67th minute, with a fine counter attack culminating in Roberto Alvarado crossing for Wolverhampton Wanderers forward Jimenez to nod home at the far post.

It got worse for South Africa in the 84th minute when Zwane was dismissed after a VAR review for flinging an arm into the face of Alvarado.

There was still time for late drama when Mexican defender Cesar Montes was shown a red card for a clumsy challenge on Khulisa Mudau on the edge of the penalty area.
