Roxane Couasnon quitte l’Arkema Première Ligue et l’OM pour la Seconde et l’ASSE.
L’ASSE, relégué d’Arkema Première Ligue, a dévoilé, ce samedi, une nouvelle recrue par le biais d’un communiqué diffusé sur son site officiel. Les Vertes accueillent la défenseure Roxane Couasnon, en provenance de l’OM où elle a passé quatre saisons. Elle retrouve un championnat qu’elle connaît bien et où elle a disputé 119 matchs et avec une montée dans l’élite en 2025 avec les Marseillaises.
L’an dernier, elle a participé à huit rencontres en Arkema Première Ligue et selon le club « apportera son expérience et toutes ses qualités de footballeuse à l’effectif stéphanois ». Dans le communiqué du club stéphanois, Roxane Couasnon a livré ses premiers mots sur son arrivée dans le Forez. « J’ai hâte de commencer cette nouvelle aventure sous de nouvelles couleurs. Et je ferais tout mon possible pour aider mes coéquipières à replacer le club en Arkema Première Ligue. », a commenté la joueuse de 27 ans forumteam.blog

Mamelodi Sundowns devastated by death of Jayden Adams
Mamelodi Sundowns have confirmed the death of Bafana Bafana midfielder Jayden Adams, with the club paying tribute to one of South African football’s brightest talents.
The 25-year-old’s passing has sent shockwaves through the football fraternity just days after he returned from representing South Africa at FIFA World Cup 2026.

In a statement released on Saturday, Mamelodi Sundowns expressed their condolences to Adams’ family, friends and everyone affected by the tragic news.

“It is with heartfelt sorrow that Mamelodi Sundowns can confirm the passing of highly talented Bafana Bafana midfielder, Jayden Adams,” the club said.
“The Chairman and the Motsepe Family, the Board of Directors, Technical Team, Players, Management, Staff, Supporters of Mamelodi Sundowns FC and the entire Yellow Nation express their deepest condolences to the family and friends as we mourn the loss of Jayden.”
The club added that its thoughts and prayers were with Adams’ loved ones during this difficult time.
“We pray that the Almighty God comforts and strengthens the Adams family, his friends and everyone that knew him.”
Mamelodi Sundowns also appealed for privacy for the family as they come to terms with their loss.
A career cut tragically short
Adams established himself as one of South Africa’s most gifted midfielders after emerging through the ranks at Stellenbosch FC, where his impressive performances earned him national recognition.
His rise continued following his move to Mamelodi Sundowns, where he became an integral part of the club’s midfield and helped the Brazilians achieve domestic and continental success.
The dynamic midfielder also cemented his place in Hugo Broos’ Bafana Bafana squad and represented South Africa at FIFA World Cup 2026 where he made three appearances, showcasing his talent on the global stage.
Football fraternity in mourning
The confirmation of Adams’ death has prompted an outpouring of grief across South African football, with tributes expected from team-mates, former clubs, supporters and rivals alike.
