EFL probes Sheffield United price payment dispute

The English Football League has launched an investigation into Sheffield United's owner, COH Sports, following allegations that the American investment group created a new parent company to avoid paying £35m owed to previous owner Prince Abdullah. ipl-today.in

COH Sports, led by Steven Rosen and Helmy Eltoukhy, agreed to purchase the club for approximately £100m in December 2024 and made an initial payment of £30m, but is alleged to have been late on subsequent payments. Abdullah has issued a winding-up petition against COH Sports and has raised concerns with both the EFL and the Independent Football Regulator.
