MLB Derby: Rice, Caglianone Committed

Ben Rice of the New York Yankees and Jac Caglianone of the Kansas City Royals have officially committed to the 2026 MLB Home Run Derby, scheduled for July 13 at Citizens Bank Ballpark in Philadelphia. Rice, who aims to become the first Yankees player to win since Aaron Judge in 2017, will have his father Dan throwing to him during the event. rocore.sbs

This marks Caglianone's first Home Run Derby appearance. The 23-year-old Royals slugger is hitting .258/.322/.455 with 14 home runs this season. Five Kansas City players have previously participated in the Derby but none have won the title.
