USMNT's Pochettino in final stages of new contract

Mauricio Pochettino and US Soccer are reportedly in the final stages of agreeing on a new contract that would extend the Argentinian through the 2030 World Cup.

Pochettino was hired in September 2024 to lead the team through the 2026 World Cup, where the U.S. exited in the last 16. Both sides had expressed interest in extending the deal ahead of the tournament.

US Soccer chief executive JT Batson previously expressed excitement about building on the progress made during Pochettino's initial tenure. newsindata.org
