Yankees Acquire Heliot Ramos from Giants

The New York Yankees have acquired outfielder Heliot Ramos from the San Francisco Giants to bolster their lineup before Monday's MLB trade deadline.

Ramos, 26, is hitting .264 with nine home runs and 34 RBIs this season. He was an All-Star in 2024 and hit 43 total homers in the previous two seasons. forestarrow.rest

The Yankees' move for Ramos comes a day after acquiring first baseman Luis Garcia from Washington. New York is trying to upgrade its offense since Aaron Judge's injury, as they remain 2.5 games behind Tampa Bay in the AL East race.
