MAC Appeals Michigan-WMU Game, Asks NCAA to Declare Broncos Winner

The Mid-American Conference has appealed the outcome of Michigan's 13-12 win over Western Michigan, citing a replay protocol error that improperly added a second to the game clock.

MAC Commissioner Jon Steinbrecher stated that established replay protocol requires using the game clock displayed on the program feed, not the clock within the replay system. The Broncos initially accepted the Big Ten's explanation but now seek to have the NCAA and College Football Playoff recognize them as the actual winner.

Michigan won on a controversial Hail Mary pass after the replay official put one second back on the clock when both the stadium and television clocks showed zeroes. The MAC is requesting the NCAA Football Bowl Subdivision Oversight Committee and the CFP to declare Western Michigan the actual winner. blablasex.es
